It was a pleasure being your school librarian for the last 9 years. There are lots of new books now in the library to enjoy that I purchased before leaving. Read and be successful!
LOOKING FOR A GOOD BOOK !
Want to read the latest best seller? Thinking about trying out a new author you heard about? Can't wait to read the newest book by a favorite author? Don't have time to get to the library or keep forgetting? Consider turning your computer, smartphone, and/or internet capable epub reader (such as a Kindle or Nook) into a library book. If you have a Southern Prairie Library card from the Altus or Hollis Library, you should think about borrowing books from the OK Virtual Library.
- If you will be downloading and enjoying your books on a device, you will first have to download and install a quick app. or program (2 if using a computer). They can found at Overdrive and Adobe Digital Edition.
- Go to the virtual library website, sign in with your library card, browse the library, select up to 6 books, and check them out. It's that simple. Books are on loan for a two week period and may be renewed for two more weeks when possible. You can either download your selections into your device or read them on the internet. Books are available in both print form for reading and audio form for those who like to relax and listen.
- What! A book you want is not available for check out. A click of a button will put it on hold for you and you will be notified when it is ready to check out.
- A wide variety of music is also available to borrow.
Have favorite books you want to test on?
Parents and students can go to the website - www.arbookfind.com - to search for books that are testable. The site will give information on the book's reading level (RL), the number of points the book is worth (AR Pts.), as well as other information about the book. Check it out!
